As part of the launch of the Swirl Cup, a coffee cup that boasts temperature and flavour retention made with a shatter proof ceramic material, Sttoke Melbourne organized a 12-day pop-up event at Paragon Mall Singapore in May 2024 that invites visitors to experience a coffee omakase in an elevated and comfortable home setting.
Spanning over a planning period of 3 months, Geraldine from The Ochre Home together with Ruby and Kenny, interior stylists from Hellohomebodies, formed the design team for the Sttoke @ Home pop-up, conceptualizing the spatial design, event set up, styling, and curated local brand partners to come together to transform a 211sqm atrium into an immersive experience for visitors. In line with the 3 colourways that the Sttoke Swirl Cup is available in - pink, green, and grey, the experiential zone consisted of 3 connected rooms in the 3 respective colour themes, representing the different tasting notes of coffee: sweet, refreshing, and smokey; playing on visuals and textures using various furnishing elements and materials through the build and brand partner furniture and products. The experiential zone is also flanked by sales areas, with creative displays of Swirl Cups and a wide range of Sttoke signature travel tumblers in the form of curved walls and counters for a injection of fun and dynamism, and to break up the hard edges of a rectangular atrium.
Visitors are invited to walk through the experiential zones and linger within each space to take in the many elements with all their senses: sight and touch with the colour themed rooms, taste with freshly prepared coffee from on-site baristas, smell from fragrance stones at each coffee counter, and hearing from surround-sound audio.
