Designed and styled for a young couple and growing family, this resale 1400 sqft condominium apartment was redone according to a broad brief - a warm, cosy, and moody interior with a tasteful pop of colour. Using an earthy palette of mid-tone wood with olive green and ochre against black furnishing accents, the home exudes a sense of textural depth together with a play of warm mood lighting in the form of pendants and lamps.

Being generous hosts, a previously closed kitchen was reimagined into an open concept one for spacious food prep and conversations, featuring an olive green island counter flanked by wet and dry kitchen counters, and a small laundry room that fits a washer and dryer stack, converted from what was previously the helper's bathroom. The kitchen opens up seamlessly to the living and dining, consisting of mostly layered furnishings apart from a built-in grid style bookcase to display the homeowners' books and collection of keepsakes. A similar olive green runs consistent from the kitchen to the dining wall.

A functional office and music room also doubles as a guest bedroom or future kids room, while the initial small study was converted into what we call a prayer room for the couple to retreat to, enclosed by aluminium sliding doors. The master bedroom is a combination of two bedrooms, creating a large suite with the sleeping and dressing areas visually separated by full wall-to-ceiling warm ochre paint and off-white paint respectively. In the sleeping area, a feeling of cosiness is created from the envelope of a single colour, paired with rich brown black-out curtains, and display ledges as the bed head board. A built-in vanity and stretch of shaker style wardrobe cabinets with brass handle detail provides ample storage for clothing and other personal belongings.
